Student Support and Related Services

A comprehensive array of educational support services are available according to each child's needs and complies with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). Related services include:

Audiology
Counseling
Health and School Nurse Services
Interpreting
Mental Health
Occupational Therapy
Parent Counseling and Training
Physical Therapy
Rehabilitation counseling, coordinated with the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation
Speech and Language Therapy
Transportation

If a child needs a particular related service in order to benefit from special education, the related service professional will be involved in developing the child's Individualized Education Program (IEP). The provider shares his/her special expertise about the child's needs and how their own professional services can address those needs.
