Feel free to share your feedback: Haga clic en para la versión Española Click here to view more news>> Recent News Rabbi Helman The New Mexico School for the Deaf Community is deeply saddened to share the news of the passing of Rabbi Leonard Helman on June 6th. He was a true friend and beloved long-term benefactor to the students and school! Several years ago, in his honor, NMSD established the Rabbi Helman Experiential Programs Endowment, which is housed at the Santa Fe Community Foundation. The interest generated from this endowment allows NMSD to send students to summer camps for the deaf, support students' participation in programs such as therapeutic horseback riding lessons, biannual trips to Washington D.C. and abroad, and many other student activities and programs. He will be missed but his spirit will live on in the kindnesses he has shown throughout the years. Legacy gifts in Rabbi Helman's memory may be sent to: NMSD’s Rabbi Helman Endowment
