Graduation Pathways
Students
enrolled at NMSD are expected to graduate with a diploma and pursue
post-secondary goals to achieve their personal and professional dreams,
following one of 3 different options.
Standard Option
- Standard course of study (24 credits) and passing levels on all parts
of the New Mexico Standard Based Assessment for HS students (or current
NM graduation exam) Students may submit End of Course assessment
results (EOC) as an alternative to passing the SBA (as necessary).
Career Readiness Option - Career readiness course of
study (24 credits) and passing levels (as determined by the IEP team) on
all parts of the NM Standard Based Assessment for HS students (or
current NM graduation exam). Students may also submit End of Course
assessment results (EOC) as an alternative to passing the SBA (as
necessary).
Ability Option - Meet all graduation requirements established by the IEP team
and take the New Mexico Standard Based Assessment for HS students (or
current NM graduation exam) achieving a level of competency or targeted
proficiency as determined by the IEP team OR the New Mexico Alternate Assessment if the student meets the participation criteria.
