NMSD operates a 30-acre campus in the heart of Santa Fe catering to up to 96 residential students and many more day students. The residential program accommodates students ranging in age from elementary through high school. We strive to keep students and families connected and as a result, all residential students return home each weekend. To accommodate this, NMSD provides transportation for students from all over the state.
During the week, under the supervision of trained Student Life Educators, residential students live in spacious cottages. Each fully furnished cottage accommodates 12 students. The residential cottages each feature:
- A multi-purpose living room, kitchen and laundry room
- Six bedrooms, each with private bath and two beds
- Sleep-time supervision from Residential Night Attendants
For all high school seniors, the school focuses on independent living skills in the cottage environment to promote the skills required for a successful post-high school transition.
