Students, staff and families from NMSD's Albuquerque Preschool traveled to join Santa Fe preschool students, staff and families at our annual Family & Friends Feast Day! We played together in our exploration room and on the playground, finishing with a feast that we ate together in the Espie Auditorium. A great time was had by all!

Our Jr. NAD team is proud to share that they just dropped off a total of 94 pounds of non-perishable food they collected at the Santa Fe Food Depot! They want to thank the NMSD community for their wonderful donations. Now that's something to be grateful for and a great way to start NMSD's fall break!

We are grateful for the CEASD Accreditation team who spent this past week on our campus. They met with students, staff, parents, alumni, and board members. We thoroughly enjoyed having them with us and stand ready to immerse ourselves in the continuous improvement process bringing us into the next 5 years.

Our Accrediting Team arrived over the weekend and met staff in the Larson Gym this morning.
Welcome Kimberly Kause (Director of Instruction at Indiana School for the Deaf), Matt Krueger (Student Life Director at the Indiana School for the Deaf), Dr. Michelle Tanner (Superintendent at the Utah School for the Deaf) and Dr. Nancy Hlibok Amann (Director of State Special Schools and Services Division at the California Department of Education.)

Today is Founder's Day and we honor and celebrate Lars M. Larson, and his wife Belle, for establishing NMSD on November 10, 1885. Thank you Lars & Belle!

The Athletic Department is happy to announce our winter sports coaches. Congratulations to them!

Some of our High School students and their families recently attended the Student Leadership Conference on Inclusive Post-Secondary Education conference in Colorado Springs. They attended a variety of workshops and trainings and had lots of fun socializing with their peers at a Karaoke event.
